What Pet Parents are Saying about Essentials
As far as vitamins and minerals go, yes! We use daily recommended doses so you can feel safe knowing they receive what they need with every meal. It is recommended to add Omega3as well, to round off the complete diet with necessary anti-inflammatory oils and digestible fibre.
Essentials is a great start to balance the body and increase absorption of nutrients in the diet as well.
If more joint support is needed for the cat to be comfortable, or the cat is an adult breed known to develop joint issues and you'd like an extra preventative, we recommend adding a small dose of Agilityto meet their needs while still maintaining full mind-body balance the Essentials provides.
Essentials will not only help detox and cleanse the liver but it aims to balance the whole system for unlimited benefits!
You bet! Essentials Canine is a fully balanced preventative, including joint support and digestive enzymes for gut health!
It depends on the amount of nutrients added to the food. Most of the time, the specified nutrients added are not absorbed at the amounts stated because of the cooking and preservation processes. If you're concerned about about overdosing, we recommend starting at a small amount then slowly increasing. If your pet gets loose stool, then they're getting too much. Otherwise, it is safe to feed together.
Yes, because our ingredients are very close to the recommended daily doses, the Calcium/Phosphorus ratio is exactly what they need to support a homemade diet.
A controversy has been raging for years about the relative virtues of synthetic vs. natural nutrients.
A basic fact is that all foods, vitamins, and nutrients, and all the other substances of Life, are chemicals. If all life is made of chemical molecules, a chemical's structure, not its source, determines its function.
Therefore, there is no difference between a synthetic molecule of a vitamin or other nutrient and a natural molecule of the same chemical.
One comes from the biological factory and the other from a glass and stainless steel factory, but the sources of the chemicals characteristics come from its structure, not from where it's made.
We use "natural" sources of the ingredients where applicable. There are some ingredients, such as Vitamin E, which can only be synthetically produced to fit our formula.
Of course! Especially if you want the benefits of Curcumin and Boswellia on top of the Essentials benefits! However, there's no need to feed the full dose of each, 1/2 the recommended dose of each should be perfect but you can adjust depending on your pet's needs; whether they need more Restore, or more Essentials.
DO NOT feed Essentials and Digestive at the same time, as a full dose of digestive enzymes are already included in a full dose of Essentials.
